After the British vote to leave the European Union, several financial centers are competing to supplant London as the financial capital of Europe. The principality of Luxembourg has thrown its hat into the ring with an expensively-produced video.

«Make your career in Luxembourg’s financial industry,» is the message being pushed by the agency which promotes the country as a financial location, Luxembourg for Finance.

In the video various expats praise the high standard of living and excellent career opportunities in the tiny state.

Berlin, Dublin, Paris ...

Luxembourg is not the only financial centre that has picked up the scent of lots of new business and jobs. Some 350,000 people work in the City. Berlin is another contender that wants to replace London as the fintech hub of Europe. Also in the frame are Dublin, Paris or Frankfurt.

The Swiss Bankers’ Association also sees a chance to create opportunities from Brexit. The association’s president, Patrick Odier, is promoting the idea of an alliance between London, Zurich, Hong Kong and Singapore, as reported by finews.ch.
