In August, Serge Fehr took up his new position as head of the Swiss domestic business at Lombard Odier. Another Credit Suisse manager follows in his slipstream to the Geneva-based bank.

Andreas Arni, managing director and member of the Private Banking Executive Committee at Lombard Odier, is leaving, it was reported by the «Tagesanzeiger» (in German) over the weekend, citing sources.

Arni (pictured below) moved from Credit Suisse to Lombard Odier as head of International Hub Zurich at the end of 2019. He previously held positions at UBS and J. Safra Sarasin and worked at Credit Suisse between 2005 and 2008.

His post as head of the Zurich region is to be taken over by former Credit Suisse manager Sabine Heller. When the new UBS regional managers were appointed, she was one of the few Credit Suisse executives making the cut as a regional manager but left shortly after the appointment.

Now, it seems clear where Heller is headed. She succeeds Serge Fehr and becomes the new head of Zurich at Lombard Odier. The Geneva-based private bank has set itself to boost its business in German-speaking Switzerland. «Inside Paradeplatz» (in German) had previously reported this change.

Credit Suisse, the Preferred Hunting Ground

Heller isn't the first Credit Suisse banker to follow in Fehr's wake. In July, a 13-member E&E team of Credit Suisse joined in Zug, opening a  new location in the process.

In November, Michael Strobaek takes over as chief investment officer (CIO) at Lombard Odier, overseeing the investment strategy of the entire group.

In August, Senior Managing Partner Hubert Keller said the bank will continue to expand by 30 to 50 new relationship managers annually in wealth management, with hiring at the upper end of the range this year. «We've hired talent from Credit Suisse in the past,» a brand the industry is happy to draw on, Keller said.
