Berenberg Hires Senior Client Advisor from Pimco
Berenberg Bank has appointed a new Senior Sales Manager for institutional clients in Zurich.
Berenberg has recruited Simon Steinhoff as a Client Advisor for institutional clients. As Senior Sales Manager in the Zurich branch, he will be responsible for the bank’s institutional client business in the German-speaking part of Switzerland and Liechtenstein, according to a statement released on Tuesday. His role will focus on strengthening relationships with pension funds, foundations, insurance companies, and other institutions.
Steinhoff brings over 13 years of experience in the financial sector. Most recently, he spent eight years as an Account Manager at Pimco, a bond-focused investment firm. Since 2016, he has managed institutional clients in Switzerland and led a team of more than 20 client managers and analysts.
His previous professional experience includes positions at Deutsche Bank and AXA. Steinhoff holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business Administration from the University of Twente in Enschede, the Netherlands.
